 | Rainer Fetting's 'Return of the Giants' at Kunstverein AugsburgRainer Fetting's ' Die Ruckkehr der Giganten ' (Return of the Giants ) opens at Kunstverein Augsburg on the 17th of May and continues until 28 June, 2009. The exhibition, which started at the Gerhard-Marcks-Haus in Bremen (7th December, 2008 - 22 February,2009 ) covers Fetting's sculpture works from 1980 to 2008.

 | Philip Braham at 'Inspired' Exhibition in GlasgowPhilip Braham's work 'Churchyard' is in an exhibition that opened on the 4th of April ( until 20th September ) based on the life and works of the poet Robert Burns in celebration of his 250th anniversary. Among the participants in the exhibition are the Chapman Brothers, Tracey Emin, David Mach, Ken Currie, Graigie Aitchison and Douglas Gordon.

 | Philip Braham at the Royal Scottish AcademyPhilip Braham is represented in this year's RSA exhibition with a large painting from the new 'Drift' series. In his review of May 16th in The Scotsman Newspaper, Duncan Macmillan wrote that the work, an interplay of light between a big dark sky and wind-blown golden autumn leaves, is 'very beautiful' and a surprising new departure from Braham's familiar landscapes. The exhibition continues until 25th June at The Royal Scottish Academy,The Mound, Edinburgh. |
 | Rainer Fetting : Forthcoming Exhibitions in Merzig-Saar and BremenAn exhibition of an important private collection of Fetting's works titled 'Rainer Fetting and the Moritzplatz Painters' will take place between 9 August and 5 September, 2008 at Stadtshalle Merzig, Zur Stadtshalle, 66663 Merzig- Saar. UPDATE (17.07.08): this event has been postponed due to organisational reasons. New dates will be posted when announced.
Later this year, Fetting's sculpture retrospective 'Ruckkehr der Giganten' will open to the public on 7 December, 2008 ( until 22 February, 2009 ) at Gerhard-Marks-Haus in Bremen. |
 | Paul Goodwin's 'Orion Quintet'Paul Goodwin's 'Orion Quintet', oil on 5 sheets of prepainted steel, was comissioned by International Corporate Art on behalf of Royal Carabbean International for 'Independence of the Seas', a new ship that will be the largest to be home-ported in Europe.
The painting will occupy an important 5 x 3 meters space and the ship will be launched in mid 2008. |

Paul Goodwin's paintings on stainless steel will be part of the event in a show titled ' Freehand ' at Mint Design, 70 Wigmore Street, between the 15th and 25th of September. The show will also feature exclusively created designs by Lene Toni Kjeld, Joost van Bleiswijk and Silke Warwo as well as a selection of works by this year's British Design Graduates. |

 | Helmut Schmidt Sculpure By Rainer FettingRainer Fetting's sculpture of Helmut Schmidt, who was Chancellor from 1974 to 1982, was unveiled in a ceremony last week in Frankfurt. This is Fetting's second sculpture commission of a German Chancellor- the first was in the 1990's of Willy Brandt whose statue stands in the main lobby of the SPD party building in Berlin. |
